2018 KingCo Wrestling Tournament

The KingCo Wrestling Tournament is this coming Friday and Saturday, Feb 2-3.  We will be taking as man as we can up to 2 per weight class.  Please check with a coach next week to find out if you are on the roster.  The schedule is as follows:

Friday February 2nd

• 11:30AM - Bus Leaves High School
• 1:30PM - Scales Open
• 2:00PM - Weigh-in
• 2:15PM - Doors open to public ($7)
• 3:00PM - Session 1 Wrestling begins (2 rounds)

Saturday February 3rd

• 6:30AM - Bus Leaves High School
• 7:00AM - Scales Open
• 8:00AM - Weigh-in
• 9:00AM - Doors open to public ($7)
• 10:00AM - Session 2 Wrestling Begins
• Quarterfinals/Semifinals
• Short break to breakdown to two mats
• Consolation Finals on two mats
• Break until 5:30pm
• 5:30PM - Session II - Championship Matches (2 Mats)

Admission Prices:  The cost to enter is $7 per day ($14 total if you attend both days).

Thanks to everyone who attended the Weight Wise and Healthy meeting last night! The PowerPoint presentation is now posted in the team folder in the nutrition subfolder. For those that were not able to make it, I have posted the video as well.

The videos from Thursday's duals are also now posted to the wrestlers individual folders. unfortunately we were only able to catch a couple JV matches.

The stats will be posted Sunday night after I compile everything from the duals and today's End of Days tournament.

Weight Wise and Healthy Class

Wrestlers and Parents, please join us this Friday at 6:30pm in room 1121 of the high school (around the corner from the main office) for our Weight Wise and Healthy meeting/class.  Weight management will be crucial over the next month for many. The Tanners (Carson's parents) and Coach Kelson will be discussing nutrition for wrestlers and how to properly and safely cut when needed without making them weak or sick or unhealthy.  We are very lucky to have the Tanners and their 16 years of experience to draw from!

Come out to support Issaquah Wrestling at our DOUBLE DUAL against Newport and Inglemoore tomorrow at Mount Si High School!  JV will start directly after the 5pm weigh-ins and we will get as many JV matches as possible.

Varsity matches start promptly at 6pm. 

Wrestlers:  Bus leaves from Issaquah High School at 3:45pm sharp!

Hi Everyone!  All stats are now uploaded to each wrestler's individual folder.  Please go in and review as this information is very helpful to know where your strengths and opportunities are.

Videos from the most recent Everett Classic tournament are also available in the individual wrestler's folder.  Videos from Lindberg and Gold tournaments will be uploaded by the week's end.

The Grind - Days 2-4

We had a very successful GRIND this year!  Below are the before and after pictures from each group.  Everyone worked hard and earned their shirts! We have seen a noticeable difference in these young men ever since.
